The Red Face

The Following Picture was taken in a rural North Dakota Building.  I've provided the pictures in the original, enhanced, and for those of you who cannot make out the face, a rough...rough sketch.  I've also provided the professional opinion of a photographic anylizer to the page.  You can form your own opinions on what this could be. We cannot say for sure what caused this picture, only that it was an unexplained find.

Chuck - Photographic anylist's Scientific Opinion

What I notice is that after the enhancement, the light appears to be on the wall (note the dim areas where it appears the paint is worn away.) I also notice that the EXIF data shows that the camera used a white balance for tungsten lights. That suggests that the camera detected an incandescent or sodium vapor light during the shot. Considering that the light is near the window, it is a very real possibility that what we are seeing is just a reflection of a light outside the window on what is left of the glossy paint on the wall. Any more information that can be provided would help refine the analysis. Here is the EXIF data if you are interested: Camera Make: SANYO Electric Co., Ltd. Camera Model: E760 Image Date: 2008:09:27 08:32:43 Flash Used: Yes (Auto) Focal Length: 5.8mm (35mm equivalent: 35mm) Exposure Time: 0.0040 s (1/250) Aperture: f/2.8 ISO equiv: 400 White Balance: Auto Light Source: Incandescent Metering Mode: Matrix Exposure: program (Auto) -- Chuck

The Picture below is the original

What made me suspect this picture for analysis is the red glow, off center. Later another team member mentioned they noticed a face.

The picture below was analized by a professional

As you can see here, the face is more obvious now that it has been lightened up.

Below is my silly depiction of the Evil Face for those who cannot see it.

I know it's only missing a clown nose, but it should help to point out the face.
